Liverpool, Everton are targeting LaLiga winger with £ 71m exit clause

Liverpool and Everton are both ready to bid on an exciting LaLiga winger, while West Ham got a Real Madrid forward in January – all in Tuesday’s Paper Talk.

LIVERPOOL, EVERTON TARGET VILLARREAL WINGER

Everton and Liverpool are reportedly willing to bid for Villarreal’s winger Samuel Chukwueze.

Press reports on Tuesday claim that the Red and the Fudge are just two of seven parties following the attacker, who reportedly has a £ 71m exit clause.

Real Madrid, Manchester United, Leicester, Chelsea and Wolves would also be in the mix.

The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of LaLiga’s most promising young players, although he is still considered relatively raw for his age.

Chukwueze has only scored once this season and added three assists in 12 appearances.

But that doesn’t seem to have deterred his suitors as the Merseyside duo both wanted to bolster their attack options in 2021.

Chukwueze’s game is all about beating players with his pace and directness. In that respect, he is compared to former Chelsea attacker Arjen Robben.

The youngster has been with Villarreal since November 2018 and is still contracted until 2023.

That puts the LaLiga side in a strong bargaining position when bids come in for the player.

The report adds that interested suitors are immediately referred to his grand release clause if they want to try their luck.
