Jalisco begins in 2019 with two earthquakes in Cihuatlán

The first hours of the year 2019, on the coast of Jalisco, two small earthquakes occurred that were recorded by the sensors of the National Seismological.

At 5:20 am on January 1, an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 was reported with an epicenter at 49 kilometers west of the municipality of Cihuatlán, Jalisco.

Earlier, at 1:18 am, a ground movement of magnitude 3.6 was already registered by the sensors of the monitoring system.

Moreover, on the night of December 31, 46 kilometers west of Casimiro Castillo, a very light earthquake with a force of 3.5 was reported.

So far there has been no mention of damage caused by these small earthquakes.
