Cancún.- The former head of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (Sintra) of Quintana Roo, Mario Castro Basto, was arrested yesterday in Mérida, Yucatán, by elements of the Public Prosecution Service in Combat of Corruption, due to his presumed responsibility in the crime of eclipse.
The minister's agents adhered to the arrest warrant against Castro Basto from map 151/2018, which corresponds to the irregularities at the airline company VipSaesa.
In this case, several former officers of Roberto Borge Angulo, under pressure since June 2017, have been arrested and linked to the trial, including former secretaries of government and finance, Gabriel Mendicuti and Mauricio Góngora, as well as the director of VipSaesa. , Carlos Acosta.
The former official is expected to be transferred to Quintana Roo.
