How to process the electronic identity card?

CITY OF MEXICO.- From 1 October, the electronic professional identity card can be obtained.

For the electronic issuance of professional certificates, it is necessary that educational institutions register for the directorate-general professions (DGP) in electronic form, inform the Ministry of Education (SEP).

The issuing of the electronic card for graduates from higher and higher secondary education institutions can be made from a device with internet access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and from anywhere.

The SEP explained that from 16 April to 28 September 2018, the period during which the pilot program for the issuance of electronic certificates was made, the DGP issued 417 thousand professional certificates in electronic format and that some 286 thousand documents are in circulation. emission process.

In the first phase of the issuance of a professional online card, it began with the publication on April 16 of the amendments to the Rules of the regulatory act of Article 5 of the Constitution in the Official Gazette of the Federation.
