The elected senator of Chiapas, Noé Fernando Castañón Ramírez, accused of domestic violence, was arrested at Monterrey airport and informed of the entity by the Attorney General.
An information card from the agency revealed that the senator-elect was held in Terminal B of the Monterrey International Airport tonight.
"In accordance with the arrest warrant against Noé Fernando for elements of the State Investigation Agency in collaboration with elements of the state parish of Chiapas," the card says.

Noé Fernando Castañón is the son of the former minister of the Supreme Court of the nation, Noé Castañón León.
According to a study by the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung together with 400 journalists from the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), Castañón appeared on a list of alleged tax fraudsters, his name coincides with that of politicians, artists, athletes and drug traffickers such as Rafael Caro.
