MEXICO CITY (APR) .- The Archdiocese of Morelia confirmed the disappearance of the priest Miguel Gerardo Flores, missionaries of the Sagrada Familia, who was last seen on 18 August in the community of Matanguarán, municipality of Uruapan, Michoacán, after being officially of a mass in the community of Santa Catarina.
According to the Catholic Multimedial Center (CCM), this case reported three disappearances of priests so far in the sex age, in which 24 priests were killed.
Carlos Garfias Merlos, Archbishop of Morelia, confirmed today to a local media the disappearance of Miguel Gerardo Flores and said that the criminal charge was filed with the attorney general of Michoacán (PGJE).
The religious leader noted that so far there has been no contact with those behind the disappearance. He clarified that the headquarters of the Sagrada Familia, to which the disappeared priest belongs, is located in the municipality of Zamora.
In social networks, the support of the parishioners is asked to find the whereabouts of Flores.
According to information from El Universal, the priests disappeared in this administration Santiago Álvarez Figueroa, of the Diocese of Zamora, which was last seen on December 29, 2012; and Carlos Ortega Puga, on November 3, 2013.
