MEXICO.- The school year of primary education from 2018-2019 that starts on Monday, August 20 only has three long weekends formerly known as & # 39; bridges & # 39 ;, and in eight On Friday there will be meetings of the Technical School Council, which means that there are no lessons in public schools.

Next Monday, approximately 24.5 million pupils in nursery, primary and secondary education will start work; as well as 1.2 million teachers in 224,000 schools of the National Education System.

It also initiates the application of the New Education Model, with the Key Learning of Compulsory Training, in the three levels of kindergarten, first and second primary and first of secondary school, as part of the educational reform.

3 calendars apply with different duration:

185 days, ending on 14 June

195 days with duration on 8 July

200 days to complete lessons on 15 July

At three occasions will be the modality of Long Weekend in which, before a public holiday, the celebration will be dealt with on the first Monday of that week, if it is determined by the federal labor law.

It will be on Monday, November 19, on the occasion of the Mexican revolution; on 4 February for the promulgation of the Mexican constitution and on 18 March for Natalicio Benito Juárez.

Three days marked with suspension of education:

November 2, Day of the Dead.

1 of May, Labor Day

15 May, Teachers' Day

There will be two holiday periods:

Winter sports, from Thursday 20 December to Friday 4 January

Spring break, coinciding with the Good Week , from Monday 15 to Friday, April 26, 2019.
