Tunisia was re-elected as representative of North Africa to the African Telecommunication Union at the end of its 5th ordinary session on Friday, August 17 in Nairobi, Kenya.
In an official statement issued on this occasion, the Ministry of Communications Technologies and the Digital Economy stated that participants showed great interest in the proposals submitted by Tunisia.
These approved proposals will be discussed at the next Conference of Plenipotentiaries of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU PP 2018).
It should be noted that this event was also characterized by the reintegration of Morocco into the African Telecommunication Union and the election of a new Secretary General, John Omo, currently Director of Legal Services at the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority. from Kenya, according to the African News Agency.
