Aziz Rebbah also spoke extensively about the mega-project "Gas to power". "In order to take account of technological and economic developments, the ONEE 2022-2030 equipment program will be revised, including the national mix, for example, the planning of the" Gas to power "project has some adjustments to take into account different parameters, including emergence of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs that will moderate electricity consumption, "says the minister.

Eco Life also notes that several components of the project have been revised in the light of the likely development of domestic gas production.

When will the international tender for the "Gas to Power" project be launched? Aziz Rebbah ensures that the technical, legal and commercial advisors are appointed and that all the ingredients for the launch of the tender are already met. "We will communicate about this timely," he says.

With regard to the gas code pro- gramme, the Minister ensures that all criticisms made by the various stakeholders during the unveiling of the draft code will be taken into account in order to produce a balanced gas code. Aziz Rebbah also mentions the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline project and says that studies are ongoing and that the Joint Committee is working hard. "The West African countries are still very interested in this future infrastructure," the Minister added.

Aziz Rebbah also ensures that the national regulatory authority of the electricity sector (ANRE) will be operational very soon, to the extent that the government has already established its operating budget, rented the premises and set up its staff.
