Agadir – Approximately 29,085 travelers passed through Agadir Al-Massira Airport in October 2020, up from 174,557 in the same period last year, down 83.34%.
This decline is explained by the consequences of the health crisis related to the Coronavirus and the fact that air traffic has been at a standstill for several months, according to a press release from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
The airport of the capital Souss registered 7.48% of the total number of passengers from the airports of the Kingdom, which amounted to 388,659 passengers, compared to 2,161,696 during the same period last year.
In terms of aircraft movements, Agadir-Al Massira Airport’s share was 7.52% of the 5,024 movements registered nationally.
In terms of the number of travelers, Agadir-Al Massira Airport ranks third nationally behind Marrakech-Menara in second place with a total of 30,662 travelers and Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca in first place with 177,476 travelers.
