The impoundment of the main dams in the Marrakech-Safi region reached 68.21 million m3 (Mm3) on 17 September 2018, with a filling percentage of 53.42%.
This level is lower than in the same period of the previous year (92.3 Mm3, 62.5%), according to the daily situation of the dams, published on the website of the ministry responsible for water.
Thus an increase in filling rates was observed, mainly at the Essabti dam of Abu El Abbas, which went from 80.7% on 17 September 2017 to 82.9% the same day of 2018 and the dam of S. M & # 39; Hamed Ben Slimane. Jazouli (increased from 71.9% to 75.7%).

However, the department noted a drop in water reserves in the Yaakoub Mansour Dam from 54.6% to 38.6%, and the Lalla Takerkoust Dam (from 42.8% to 16.5%).
The reservoirs of the main dams of the Kingdom, all used in combination, reached more than 8.92 billion m3 on September 17, 2018, registering a filling level of 58.7%, a level higher than in the same period last year ( more than 6.16 billion m3 or 40.6%) is reminded.
