Morocco strengthens its cooperation with the Wallonia region in the field of agroforestry management and nature conservation. A cooperation protocol was signed in this connection during a visit to Morocco by René Collin, Belgian Minister for Agriculture, Nature, Forest, Rural, Tourism and Heritage of the Walloon government. During this trip, Collin went to the Azrou cedar house, a Moroccan-Belgian cooperation project. He also visited an agricultural cooperation project led by the University of Liège with the National Institute for Agricultural Research in Meknes.
In addition, Collin met Moroccan heritage management actors in Rabat to support joint actions in the field of management of forests, cultures, architecture and urban heritage. He mentioned, among other things, the creation of 3D maps of the city of Tournai and the medina of Marrakech by researchers from the Université Catholique de Louvain and the National School of Architecture of Marrakech. A project to better understand the urban design and architecture of these places.
