#Morocco : Nearly 400 participants from 70 countries, as well as some fifty African and international speakers, are expected at the 2nd "Women In Africa" (WIA) Summit, scheduled for September 27 and 28 in Marrakech, announced Monday in Casablanca, the organizers.
"In just two editions, WIA Initiative has been able to take a unique place on an increasingly global agenda in Africa," Ms. Thuin said during a conference on the presentation of this edition, adding that this event will honor women entrepreneurs who are Africa today. and "invent" tomorrow.
With the results of the first summit and the "successful" initiatives led by Moroccan civil society, Ms. Thuin emphasized that "the second WIA summit will give the floor two days to experts, investors and female leaders who will give their country a boost and contribute to the development of the African continent ".

And add that this edition will also be an opportunity to identify the "good" education model for women and the means for funding them.
Kenza Bounjou, ambassador of WIA Morocco, presented the program of the initiative for the year 2018 and said that the second WIA summit will be characterized by the organization of two thematic plenary sessions, namely "Trust, condition for inclusive development?" And " Win the struggle of education ".
This edition will also be an opportunity to give the gigantic brainstorming that was organized during the first WIA initiative of the regional summit of West Africa on 12 April in Dakar, she said, noting that the menu also contains eight master classes spread over two days.
The program of this event also includes 12 "Meet With" sessions, meetings between representatives of delegations to exchange and develop relationships and investment opportunities, she added.

The first edition of the Women In Africa Summit, which took place in Marrakech last September with the theme: "Investing for better governance with African women", allowed the development of specific sectoral road maps for the benefit of African women .
Masterclasses and think tanks have also identified actions that need to be carried out in the areas of agriculture, energy, entrepreneurship, finance, food and water.
A call for applications was also launched for African leaders with an investment project of more than 5 million euros, both for the creation and development of existing companies.
The selected projects had to demonstrate the economic, social and managerial development of the African woman, while the laureates had to benefit from a legal subscription to the "Women In Africa" Club, to carry out a project in 2018-2019 to their project, as well as other prizes and rewards.
