The residents, both aged, fled to the roof when they discovered the fire. The fire brigade took them out of their plight with the aerial platform and then fought the fire.
The two were transferred to the hospital by ambulance. One of the neighbors has also been brought to the MCL. He had inhaled smoke.
Just after half past three the fire was under control. The house has been villed to expel all smoke. The damage is great.
