Off the coast of Zandvoort, eleven people were rescued from a liferaft on Saturday. They were on a Danish sailing yacht named Svartloga when it sank for a still unknown reason. The Coast Guard reports that no injuries have occurred.
The people on board were 10 kilometers from the coast of the resort when it began to sink. They then made a report via the emergency beacon of the ship and called 112. The rescue organization then called out. According to the Coast Guard, the people on the yacht "make things right" according to circumstances. They are currently being examined by a doctor.
The ship has disappeared completely under water. The rescue organization has marked that location with a buoy to warn other shipping traffic. It is expected that things will emerge from the hold of the ship.
