In the Eemshaven, a part of a crane broke down at the beginning of the evening. Four people were injured.
The accident occurred at Orange Blue Terminal on the Westlob in the Eemshaven, where a crane on the shore transferred cargo to a supply ship.
This involved the offshore supply vessel Pacific Osprey, which was built under the Cyrpian flag, a ship built in 2012 of just over 160 meters in length. The ship arrived in the Eemshaven on Wednesday.
The first medling was about a pinch. The fire brigade advanced with various vehicles. A trauma helicopter was also sent to the Eemshaven.
In the end, four people were found to have been injured by breaking the boom of the crane. Nothing has been disclosed about the nature of their injuries. Firefighters and ambulance personnel dismounted the fourth victim well after seven o'clock on Thursday evening.
The four victims were only taken to a hospital.
The Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate has been informed of the accident.
