DEURNE – The fire brigade went on Sunday morning to a cattle farm in Deurne where 36 pigs had landed in a slurry pit. Six of them did not survive the fall.
Around 9:00 in the morning the emergency services rushed to the Bruggenseweg in Deurne. There, 36 pigs had just fallen into a more than 70 centimeter deep slurry pit. The animals weigh about one hundred kilos each, a hell of a job to get them up. Eventually the fire brigade was working for about three hours and managed to save thirty pigs.
