A 23-year-old woman from Groningen was injured on Saturday night in a mishandling in Purmerend. The victim was beaten in her face by a 44-year-old man from Amsterdam.
The woman walked along with a friend on the street when she was attacked by the man from scratch. The Amsterdammer hit the woman in her face and then walked away with a friend.
The police found the two later and asked the Amsterdammer to stop. The man refused this in the first instance and walked away from the agents. Later, he decided to come back anyway.
The agents decided to arrest the Amsterdam citizen, but the man resisted. A police dog was deployed and the suspect was bitten in his leg, after which he stopped the battle. The man is fastened.
The Groningen had to go to the hospital for treatment after the accident. She has filed a complaint against the man.
