The police are investigating a deadly shooting on this rural Ōtorohanga farm.
A blessing will take place on a Waikato farm where a woman was shot and a man suffered gunshot wounds.
The couple's kaumātua arrived mid-morning on Saturday in the middle of the fog to bless the site.
The 50-year-old woman who died and whose body remains in situ is supposed to be from Whakatāne, where her mother is still alive.

Neighbors gathered outside the property on Saturday morning in Roadtewa Road and a kaumātua would bless the scene.
The police said the 57-year-old man who was brought to the Waikato hospital in a critical condition last night is now stable.

The police were called from Ōtorohanga to the Ōtewa Road farm around 10 minutes on Friday evening.

A woman is dead and a man is in a stable condition at the Waikato hospital.
The woman was shot and died on the spot.
The police found a gun on the spot and said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with it.
Those who knew the couple said they had lived in the area for years and had raised pigs on the farm.

Piglets were running outside the house where an ute was covered. The police have built a tent on the driveway.
A spokesman for the family said they were too sad to speak at this stage.
The spokesman said the shooting was "out of the blue".

The police monitored the scene at night.
Another neighbor who is related to the man who lived at home was shocked by the events.
"It is very shocking, very sad.
"We all belong to the same family, it is very sad how things went when they were together, they were fine, but something happened."

The shooting took place on 1109 Ōtewa Road.
She said that the man who chose Stuff not to mention is a "good worker". The couple had lived together for years.
A neighbor said that her husband was going to check the cattle around 8 pm and saw a helicopter and emergency services along the way.
