Critically wounded person left at the site of crash in Christchurch

A severely injured person was left behind by their fellow mates after a severe crash in Wainoni, Christchurch this morning.

The only vehicle accident happened on Pages Rd, near Baffin St, around 6 o'clock in the morning.

A spokesperson for the police said that three other occupants of the vehicle initially left the scene but returned and now speak to the police.

The police wanted to emphasize how important it is to remain on the spot in an accident and to ensure that all those involved are safe and receive the necessary medical care, according to the spokesman.

Traffic is diverted via Baffin Street and Ottawa Road while the Serious Crash Unit is present.
