A cyclist was admitted to hospital after an apparent hit on Hamilton's River Road.
Hamilton police Senior Sergeant Simon Cherry said the incident happened at 5:25 pm on Sunday at the intersection of River Rd and O & # 39; Neill Street.
"The driver failed to stop and the cyclist was left on the road," said Cherry.
"We appeal to anyone who has seen a black SUV with damage to the side of the vehicle and a broken side window."
The cyclist suffered moderate to severe injury and was transferred to the Waikato hospital.
