NZ deputy leader talks Aussie unrest – Brinkwire

Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand Winston Peters and Secretary of State, Julie Bishop, have gathered to talk about the Pacific in the midst of the unrest in leadership in Canberra.

The two leaders met in parliament to discuss the importance of Australia and New Zealand in helping Pacific countries, but the possibility of a different leadership challenge was not unnoticed.

"We have arrived with the circumstances of the last 36 hours and we are all victims of democratic machinations, so the fact that you have reserved this time for us is really special for us", said Peters when the meeting started on Wednesday.
