Perhaps this is the news of just under two months: KrF says that the tasks to be transferred to the new region are too messy and they reject the merger between Finnmark and Troms. It will be the nail in the coffin of regional reform as we know it. But what comes after?
Monday Minister Monica Mæland introduced a new element in Norwegian governance: pause of the implementation of a parliamentary resolution. If it means more than that she takes a break from her jobless travel to Finnmark, it is unclear. But at least it puts even more pressure on KrF, which is the key to a problem that is constantly evolving.
