The police in Møre og Romsdal were informed about a car that had landed in a dreg with Meisingset, along provincial road 70, in Tingvoll. The driver was picked up by acquaintances.
"There was no one in the car, but we got it and we suspected that the driver was not sober when the accident happened," said Erik Mikalsen, operations manager at the police.
As is well known, there is a law in Norway prohibiting alcohol consumption for up to six hours after participation in an accident that is likely to be investigated by the police.
"The driver was hit when we caught him and we take the person to take blood samples," continues Mikalsen.
