Two men rescued from the sea in Haugesund

"We were told that someone was calling for help near a sheath south of the Karmsund Bridge," said Toralv Skårland, Operations Manager at NTB's Southwest Police District.

They received the message from the Emergency Medical Communication Center (AMK) about half an hour after midnight. AMK coordinated the rescue mission and came into contact with a cargo ship as a small boat to search for the people who needed help.

"When they found the people, the boat was in the middle of the boat," Skårland said to NTB. One man sat on the fridge while the other was in the sea.

Because of the suspicion of drug abuse, blood samples were taken from men aged 33 and 36 years old. Both knew when they arrived at the hospital.

Health Fonna announces to NTB on Sunday afternoon at 11.00 that the two are no longer patients in the Haugesund hospital.

The event is still unclear.
