The police received the announcement of the incident on Friday 22.56. According to lawyer Åshild Ravndal in the south-west police district, it happened at a private address in the municipality of Stord in Hordaland.
"The woman was quickly taken to the hospital and a man was arrested without drama," she told NTB in just 1 hour.
At 15.35 the operational manager informs the woman that she has undergone surgery. Her condition is still unknown.
According to NRK, the woman was stabbed in her stomach. VG reports that the police have seized a knife that they believe is weapons of mass destruction.
The man has acknowledged that he stabbed the woman. Ravndal assumes that he will be in detention the night before the interrogation on Saturday morning.
She does not want to tell whether there is a relationship between the insult and the suspect.
