The lifeless body of a 16-year-old teenager who fell and was dragged through the waters of the Santa River (Ancash) was recovered by agents from the Department of Redemption of High Mountain of the police of Caraz.
According to the police, the teenager, born in San Marcos, tried to cross the river with two friends, at the height of the western sector of the city of Huaraz, to participate in a sporting event in Challhua, in Ancash.
When they tried to cross, the minors fell into a big hole in the middle of the river. The deceased teenager, who was on a bicycle, wanted to save his other two friends, but was dragged along by the waters.
The other two teenagers were able to get out of the flow and immediately notify the police authorities. Agents of the Tacllán police station and the agents of Alta Montaña were responsible for carrying out the search.
