The Association of Banks of Peru (Asbanc) appointed Miguel Vargas as the new general manager of the guild to replace Adrián Revilla. The decision will take effect from 1 September.
In a statement, the bank association reported that Revilla had taken the decision to withdraw Asbanc for a personal decision and anticipating new challenges.
Asbanc said Revilla had an excellent performance during his six years in the guild, giving this entity the first recognition as Great Place to Work, among others.

On the other hand, Asbanc pointed out that Miguel Vargas is a leading professional with more than 25 years of management experience. Previously he worked as manager of finance and finance at Asbanc and he was regional director and CFO of local and transnational companies such as Urbano Express, Lima Autos Automotriz del Perú, Cidelsa, Billabong, Willis Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers and Banco del Trabajo, other financial and industrial settings.
Vargas has studies in Peru and abroad, with a Master in Finance at Imperial College, University of London – UK, and specializations in senior management and finance at the University of Lima, IESE, PAD, INCAE and ESAN.
