Congressmen will start Tuesday with debate on reforms

In what will be one of the most intense debates to introduce the reforms proposed by the government of President Martín Vizcarra, the Constitutional and Regulatory Committee of the Congress will take place on Tuesday at 9.30 am.

The session starts with initiatives concerning the return to bicamerality in Parliament and the reform of the National Council for Magistracy.


The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Vicente Zeballos was invited to support the scope of the aforementioned projects.

The chairman of the committee, the fujimorista Rosa Bartra said that in order to accelerate the debate on ongoing projects and the new ones acceded to the Constitution Commission, they will meet twice weekly. The extra day will also be approved next Tuesday. The government presented 4 reform projects.
