Cusco: two districts are declared in a state of emergency before the bridge collapses Trade Peru Cusco



The management explained state of emergency the districts Cusco of Vilcabamba and Inkahuasi, faced with the danger of isolation due to the collapse of the Mesacancha bridge, which took place on 10 August.

The measure is embodied in Supreme Decree No. 084-2018-PCM, published today in the newspaper El Peruano, and allows the execution of immediate and necessary reaction and rehabilitation actions.

According to local authorities, the deterioration of infrastructure has caused the paralysis of the development of productive, commercial and state activities in the area. There is also a latent risk for the transit of vehicles and the population during the rainy season.

The response policy will be led by the regional government of Cusco, the local authorities mentioned, as well as the Ministries of Agriculture, Defense, Interior and Transport.

The decree has the signature of the President of the Republic, Martín Vizcarra; the President of the Council of Ministers, César Villanueva; and from the ministries involved.
