Two of the highest judges who played with new audios César Hinostroza and which were broadcast on Sunday, August 19, they responded via public announcements about this situation. They denied irregularities in their recorded conversations.
These are Rosa Vera Meléndez and Augusto Ruidias Farfán, both members of the Executive Council of the Judiciary (CEPJ), who spoke by telephone César Hinostroza in February of this year about the steps taken to move a judge from Ancash to Lima.
Rosa Vera rejected in her defense that she had any interest in the defense of the transfer of Judge María Luisa Apaza Panuera, except that she considered her request for family affairs as justified.
"As representative of the judges, I have to represent them and since the request of the aforementioned judge has been properly substantiated, I defended her request and clarified that it was not intended at any time to do something irregular," said the magistrate. Vera Meléndez
The highest judge, in different telephone conversations held on February 7 this year with César Hinostroza, spoke about the complications that he faced with his colleagues from the Executive Council of the Judiciary in the defense of the transfer.
"Yes, Duberlí [Rodríguez] do not want to, we need four votes (…) we were glad that the doctor would not be [Janet] Tello [la otra integrante del CEPJ]but it seems that he has asked to participate ", he was heard in a recording that was broadcast by the collective Plataforma de Investigación Journalística.
Rosa Vera admitted in this respect that she should not mention the details of the debate in the CEPJ. "I admit it was a mistake to have detailed details that did not correspond to a conversation with a chief judge (César Hinostroza) and I ask for the public apology of the case, "he said.

In a separate statement, Supreme Judge Augusto Ruidias Farfán, also a member of the CEPJ, said that the request for the transfer of Apaza Panuera was not discussed at any time. With this he acknowledged that he was the interlocutor for whom César Hinostroza identifies as & # 39; Augustito & # 39; in one of the audio & # 39; s.
The magistrate described as "completely inconsistent" the person who received a summons from the highest court in question because "the transfer was never made (requested by César Hinostroza) neither from the first import of the application (year 2016) nor after the summons of the highest court has now been suspended. "
He also ruled out that there was some hidden interest in promoting the transfer of Judge Apaza Panuera, so that she knows a specific case. "The CEPJ does not distribute the files that members of the National Criminal Chamber see, nor does it indicate the members of each college," he said.
Augusto Ruidias explained that he only admitted the case and appointed counsel Rosa Vera as rapporteur to make a broader report and to know the health status of María Luisa Apaza's husband. His report, however, was not planned, discussed or voted.
"Any telephone conversation that is conducted with a judge by a member of the CEPJ (César Hinostroza) regarding the views or viewpoints of the members of the board is of course a verbal surplus that must be clarified by the aforementioned counselor, "said the chief judge with regard to Rosa Vera's audio.
