2 storms to bring rains to the north of Luzon

Two weather disturbances will continue to improve the southwestern monsoon in Luzon, said the national weather station Tuesday.

Typhoon Soulik and Severe Tropical Storm Cimaron are not seen as the cause of the Philippine responsibility, but will cause monsoon rains, according to the administration of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services.

Monsoon rains are expected over the Ilocos region, the Cordillera administrative region, Batanes, the Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan.

Metro Manila, the rest of the provinces of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mindoro and Northern Palawan have a cloudy sky with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country has a cloudy to cloudy sky with isolated rain showers.
