A total of 163 farmers from various Cavite cities recently received land titles from the government through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program Extension with Reform (CARPer) last Friday, August 25th.
Secretary John R. Castriciones of the Department of Agricultural Reform (DAR) said that certificates of ownership of land (CLOA & # 39; s) for a total of 112.32 hectares of municipalities Naic, Tanza, Trece Martirez, Dasmariñas, Magallanes and Indang , Cavite, were distributed by the DAR in simple ceremonies in Silang, Cavite.
Castriciones said that distribution is part of the DAR's increased effort to distribute land and provide support services to beneficiaries of CARP farmers.
The DAR chief said the DAR will also help facilitate access to seed capital to make the newly acquired country productive. The new CARP winners can now make use of the accessible and sustainable loan program of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank), in which loans are very accessible to most farmers at a low interest rate of 6 percent per year.
