Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian on Sunday urged the Senate to investigate the state of airports in Metro Manila after the Chinese plane crash at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which took place on Thursday night.

In a Twitter post, Gatchalian wrote: "Last month I filed Senate Resolution No. 782 to ask the @senatePH to change the current status of Metro Manila airports. investigations to assist the government in drawing up a concrete plan to improve air transport in the capital. "
