Justine Maneja came away with three crowns while Daniel Estanislao III captured two titles while dominating the Palawan Pawnshop-PEPP Pulilan Youth-Bulacan national age-group tennis tournament at Pulilan Tennis Club on Tuesday.
The 14-year-old Maneja scored back-to-back 1-0 (re) wins in her age group over top saddle Julia Ignacio and against Gaby Zoleta in the 16-U girls finals for frustrating Mica Emana, 7-5, 6-4 , in a duel of unchallenged bets in the premier 18-U division of the Group 2 tournament.
The second placed Estanislao, however, proved too heavy for top seed Jester Ocio and scored a 6-0, 6-1 triumph to form the 16-U diadem of the boys. Hereafter, the Letagon College mainstay from Caloocan City took the 18-U plums with a 6-3, 4-0 (ret.) Victory over Miguel Vicencio.
"We would like to thank the PPS-PEPP for this event and the continued support for our junior sports development program," said Pulilan Mayor Ma. Rosario Ochoa-Montejo.
