President Duterte is capable of multitasking & # 39 ;, including attention to the problems of the nation and vice president Leni Robredo, according to an official of the palace.
President Rootso, spokesman Harry Roque, issued the statement after Robredo urged Duterte to address the country's problems instead of paying attention to her.
"The president is able to focus on these things and concentrate on her," Roque said in an interview with reporters at Manila Airport before taking part in the President's week-long visit to Israel and Jordan.
"He is capable of multitasking, and perhaps that is why he does not think she is qualified because in her world view, Hindi-pupwedeng is multitasking," he added.
Robredo previously dismissed the President's allegations against her as merely "recycled rations" to fend off the alleged failures of his government.
She said that while Duterte was perhaps planning to flatter her by keeping her thinking, he would have to concentrate on important matters such as addressing the rising consumer prices of the country.
Duterte said earlier that the country was better off being led by a dictator like the late president Ferdinand Marcos instead of Robredo amidst the ongoing problems of illegal drugs and corruption. He has minimized Robredo's competence by saying "she can not hack it."
Duterte also supported his claim that the birthplace of Robredo was a hotbed of shabu, in which her brother-in-law was allegedly involved in illegal drug operations.
About Robredo's claim that the Duterte accusations were recycled, Roque said; "It's not a recycled rant, it's always been his opinion with respect for her, it can not be recycled because his views never change."
