The newly crowned 2018 Miss Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) in the divisions of the colleges of higher education and secondary schools have opposing interests that make them stand out among the rest of the participants.
Juggling Mangubat Ducay of Southwestern University (SWU) Phinma and Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) Lorraine Hann topped the divisions of the college and high school in yesterday's coronation during the official opening from the 18th season of the Cesafi at the Cebu Coliseum.
For the 23-year-old Ducay, a resident of Bantayan Island, she may have joined various parades in and outside Cebu, including the Miss Hannah World Eco-Tourism Philippines 2018 in which she took the crown; but one of her bucket lists joins the Cesafi.
"I have participated in election results for the last five years and I have never had the chance to join Miss Cesafi because I had already completed BS Pharmacy, but I continued with medication, so I finally got the chance to attend my school. and finally won the title, so I'm so happy right now, "said Ducay.
To add prestige to her victory is that she finally ended the heartbreak of SWU-Phinma because she was consistently placed first in the Cesafi for many years.
Hann, for her part, is seen regularly at most Cebu swimming competitions, as the 17-year-old 12-year-old grader of SHS-AdC is one of his varsity tankers. She already represented Mandaue City and her school in various meeting and swimming competitions.
"It was really a tough experience for me, because when I came to Cesafi, I only participated in swimming, but I have already joined one election, the Governor's Cup 2018. I never expected that we would school for Cesafi 2018, so I was very glad that I was chosen to represent it and especially win the title, it only proves that I represent the school not only in sports, but also in other activities, as well as Miss Cesafi. "said Hann van Consolacion.
First runner-up in the school department was the University of San José-Recoletos (USJ-R) Kate de la Rosa, while the second second place came from the University of Cebu Doctors, Lleana Camille Uy.
In the high school division, the first runner-up was Jocelyn Kaye Rollinos of USJ-R, while Regine Garcia of the University of San Carlos was satisfied with the second second prize.
