Catriona Gray visits typhoon-stricken areas in Camarines Sur, Catanduanes



Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 6) – Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray visited the typhoon-stricken areas in Camarines Sur and Catanduanes, where she joined the Philippine Red Cross by handing out cash grants and shelter tool kits to affected residents.

“It’s one thing to raise awareness and donations on my platforms, but being there in person when the aid is delivered is another thing,” Gray, who serves as the humanitarian organization’s ambassador, wrote on social media Sunday. .

“I just want to thank all our donors, local and abroad, who came together to donate to our typhoon-stricken kababayans,” added the 26-year-old beauty queen, whose mother is from Albay.

Camarines Sur and Catanduanes were among the hardest hit by Typhoon Rolly (international name: Goni), which left a trail of destruction in the Bicol region and other parts of Luzon in November.

According to government data, Rolly and other recent typhoons left Quinta and Ulysses more than ₱ 12 billion in damage to agriculture.
