The Subcommittee of Smolensk led by Antoni Macierewicz left the building of the Ministry of National Defense on Klonowa Street in Warsaw. "The current seat of the subcommittee will be used for the needs of the Ministry of National Defense," said the Department of Defense Operations Center on Monday.
Macierewicz as head of the Ministry of National Defense was in the traditional seat of the ministers of this ministry – in the palace in Klonowa street. After the change in position, his successor, Mariusz Błaszczak, decided that he would have a cabinet in the building of the Ministry of Defense of Warsaw on 218 Niepodległości Avenue, where most departments are located.
Minister Błaszczak announced at the end of January that, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the regained independence of Poland, he moved his headquarters to the building in Aleja Niepodległości in Warsaw. The operational center of the head of the Ministry of Defense was also located there.
Macierewicz, after being dismissed from the position of head of the Ministry of Defense, became the chairman of the subcommittee for the investigation into the disaster with the TU-152M in Smolensk. As chairman he worked in a neighboring building on Klonowa Street – not where he had a cabinet as head of the ministry.
Ministry of Defense: the seat of the subcommittee is located at ul. Kolska 13
"The Subcommittee on Air Traffic Re-examination has changed its headquarters and is now in Kolska 13" – informed the Operational Center of the Ministry of National Defense. "The current seat of the subcommittee will be used for the needs of the Ministry of National Defense" – it was assured.
At Kolska 13 there is one of the departments of the Air Force Institute of Technology – hence the new headquarters of the subcommittee. The committee's office is located in Puławska 4a in Warsaw.
Minister Mariusz Błaszczak replaced Macierewicz in the function of Minister of Defense together with the establishment of the Mateusz Morawiecki government – January 9, 2018. A few days later, Macierewicz was appointed Chairman of the Subcommittee.
