In addition to limiting the freedom of six months in the form of social work for 20 hours in a month, Dominik W. must also apologize in writing to the injured party and pay for one thousand zloty and more than 1.3 thousand zloty in costs that are made for legal assistance.
Magistrate Magdalena Czaplińska, who led the case, recalled that the prosecutor's office demanded a higher sentence – eight months of freedom restriction in the form of social work. The court explained in the grounds that the court, when imposing a lower sentence, took into account the young age of the perpetrator (at the time of the event he was 18 years old) and the fact that he was at the time of committing of the offense was only punished for the destruction of property. Now he is accused of a number of more serious acts.
The judgment is not legally binding. Prosecutor Aleksandra Nafalska has announced that the prosecutor's office will decide on a possible appeal after hearing the written reasons. Dominika W. was not in court. His lawyer, lawyer Dariusz Strzelecki, has announced that you can expect a higher appeal. He added that the accused does not feel guilty.

The legal proceedings concerned the event of 30 October 2015 in the historic center of Gdańsk. Other events that contributed to the incident are the subject of other legal proceedings pending before the Gdańsk court. Four men were involved in the incident, including two grandchildren of the former president.
Both young men are sons of Przemysław Wałęsa, who died in January 2017. Both Bartłomiej and Dominik, in addition to participating in the incident in October 2015, are also accused or suspected in various other cases. Bartłomiej W., prosecutor accused him that he and a friend had robbed and robbed a Swedish tourist in the center of Gdansk.

According to the prosecution, on February 25, 2018 the defendant drove on one of the streets in Gdańsk-Orunia by car, without the right to do so, and was drunk (2.08 per block of alcohol). The man was also accused of insulting the police officers and forcing them to "step down as a civil servant." Dominik W. was also accused of using force and threats against a bodyguard who tried to keep him from a nearby store. He is in prison for 12 years.
Shortly after the arrest, the court of Gdańsk applied a preventive measure of 10,000 to W. deposit. The man paid the money and left the arrest, but the prosecutor's office filed a complaint with the court. On 6 March, the Court of Appeal ruled that "the guarantee was not a measure that would adequately protect the course of the procedure" and decided on the temporary arrest of Dominik W. Osadzony. He left the detention center on the last day of July when the court ruled that detention was no longer necessary.
