110 aircraft in the colors of 22 countries and 11 aerobatic teams will be presented at the Air Show 2018 starting today at 9.00 am in Radom. The event will take place for the sixteenth time, this year it is 100 years since the Polish military aviation took place.
Traditionally, viewers first see a program drawn up by pilots from the Polish Aeroclub. On the eleventh there is an official start of the screenings and then a military block starts. – There are plenty of attractions and strong impressions – promises General Krzysztof Żabicki, coordinator of the shows. Official opening of screenings with participation of m.in. the head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak is scheduled for 11. The shows start at 9.
In the air you can see F-16 and Su-27 and Gripena, as well as Mi-24 and Mi-17 helicopters Besides the soloists there will also be aerobatic teams – Frecce Tricolori from Italy, Latvian Baltic Bees, Orlik and Biało – Czerwone Iskry.
All kinds of armed forces
Organizers of events must be prepared for all weather conditions, including one that will prevent an air show. – We are prepared for all possible cases – said Lieutenant Ewa Złotnicka from the press service of the Air Show to PolskieRadio.pl. – In case of bad weather, pilots are willing to fly at different levels and under different conditions and if the bad weather did not allow them to fly, we have a very rich static exhibition on the ground – added the spokeswoman toe.
At the static exhibition, where equipment and armament of all types of armed forces will be presented, the organizers also prepared five thematic zones dedicated to the history of 303 Squadron.
– Not less interesting will be every day after the end of the demonstration – Mateusz Tyczyński convinces of the city council in Radom. It is planned, among other concerts of the Krakow Street Band and the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra, a mix of urban folk with classical sounds.
According to Mateusz Tyczyński, intimate music, after a day full of air sensations, will enable tourists to relax and rest. The program also includes workshops for entire families, which will put an end to the event.
