At the end of the Mass, President Andrzej Duda spoke, who thanked the participants in the 1980 strike for free Poland. He also talked about "diseases & # 39; which put Poland under pressure.

– We have defended freedom thanks to Solidarity. It is thanks to you, all who said "no" to the Communist power, today we have freedom. But the price is sick, because what a disease it is that the people who participated in the communist repression apparatus are still in court. So & # 39; s Poland was not a healthy Poland. Traces of these contaminants are still present and must be removed consistently. I want Poland to show solidarity, together and together. So that you can live, work and raise children in this country. This change, which now follows, is a good change. This is, ladies and gentlemen, the Polish solidarity that you have dreamed about – said Andrzej Duda.

– The facts are that in Poland there has been a bloodless, in principle revolution. People were not shot on the streets like here in Gdansk, in Gdynia in 1970. There are no tens, hundreds or thousands of crosses about the grave of young people who, just like me, were 17-18 years old and who they would be ready for to fight for free Poland with a gun in hand. This price also includes diseases that our state has continuously reduced since then. How can we not call a disease that judges who condemned the independence of the underground during the martial law that still judges the Supreme Court? – said Andrzej Duda during the Mass in the Basilica of St. Bridget.

Andrzej Duda stressed that there are people in the Supreme Court who have ever participated in the communist apparatus of repression.

– One of the persons who supervised whether the laws on martial law were correctly implemented and reported to the Central Committee of the PZPP. None of the criminals responded to their actions – President Andrzej Duda thundered and applauded warmly.

– Solidarity is not the past, only the future. We all bear responsibility towards God and history. Brothers from Solidarity! You are an important element in history, you started to change the face of the Polish country, you started in the name of God's work. Today we must continue on this path, we can not accept weaknesses – said Metropolitan of Gdańsk, archbishop. Sławoj Leszek Głódź during the holy Mass in the Basilica of St. Bridget. – Society is being subjected to turbulence, there is an obsession with denial, a demonstration of turning away from the state and established laws. You can not do this! You can not copy negations with passwords. Many people are worried about the anarchism of public life today. The Solidarność of today is also in discussion with the government, but these are always partner discussions.
