Even before the holidays, there was even talk of the cancellation of the RTV subscription. The fee for TV would then be charged in a different way, for example for electricity bills. The new rules for canceling the subscription fee have not come into effect, but … new rates have appeared for 2021.
From 2021, the rates for an RTV subscription will increase. You will have to pay a little more for an RTV subscription. Everyone who has a radio or TV set must pay for the RTV subscription. The subscription fee is charged once regardless of how many recipients we have.
Poczta Polska reports that we will pay for the RTV subscription from 2021:
- for 1 month for a radio receiver – PLN 7.50 (if the subscriber pays the fee every month, the fee for the period of 12 months is PLN 90.00).
- for 1 month for a television or television and radio set – PLN 24.50 (if the subscriber pays the fee every month, the fee for the 12-month period is PLN 294.00)
- In addition, those who pay for the full-year RTV subscription on January 25, 2021 can count on a 10% discount.

An unpaid RTV subscription can lead to the account being taken over by the Treasury? Gazeta Wyborcza reports that such unpleasantness met their reader. According to reports, the tax offices seize retirees’ accounts and take over the outstanding subscription from them, even if the retiree is not using television. It is enough that the senior forgets to unsubscribe the recipient. If we are asked to pay the outstanding RTV subscription, we can submit a request to divide the debt into installments.
