Crystal Dynamics is working on Marvel’s Avengers, but even then Square Enix doesn’t forget Lara Croft. The publisher has just announced Tomb Raider Reloaded, but unfortunately we can’t talk about a game for major platforms here.
Square Enix still hasn’t announced the exact plans for the future of the Tomb Raider series, but as you know, Crystal Dynamics is now saving Marvel’s Avengers and work on the new movie has been shelved.
As it turns out, the publisher has commissioned a new, smaller production, and Tomb Raider Reloaded will debut next year. The title was developed by the Emerald City Games studio, which was previously prepared by Lionheart Tactics. Square Enix London Mobile has become the publisher of the feature.
There will be time for more details on Tomb Raider Reloaded, but it is a mobile item (iOS, Android) that is distributed in the free-2-play business model. We have currently received a small presentation that already collects mixed opinions, which is actually not particularly surprising given the graphic style presented.
