The technical support structure of CIMBAL – Intercommunal Baixo Alentejo, promoted on 23 August, at the head office a working session with the municipalities.
The aim of this session was to "take stock of the implementation of the Portugal 2020 funding, and prepare for the planned increase in resources with the reprogramming of Alentejo 2020", CIMBAL explains in a press release and adds that "by reprogramming, pending approval by the European authorities, a series of investment priorities can be strengthened, of which the municipalities should be the main executors".
The Baixo Alentejo intermunicipal authority has defined strategies "to increase the physical and financial performance of the various operations to ensure the highest execution rate at the end of the current year," added the same source.
The purpose of CIMBAL is "to double the execution registered on December 31, 2017 to 16%, as of December 31, 2018".
Jorge Rosa, chairman of the CIMBAL intermunicipal council, told Pax Radio that the Intercommunal Baixo Alentejo is the CIM of the country with the highest number of approved applications, with a total of 131 projects. "
