Kalashnikov, a Russian brand known for building military hardware – especially the AK-47 weapon, one of the most famous & # 39; in the world – is committed to the development of an electric car.

The prototype of the CV-1 has already been introduced and what is immediately clear is the retro look, inspired by Soviet models from the 70s of the last century.

As far as features are concerned, the CV-1 comes with 350 kilometers of autonomy and an engine with 300 hp.

"This technology will enable us to be in line with other manufacturers of electric cars in the world and compete with them," said a spokesperson for the Russian company quoted by the Sputnik agency.

With this bet on the electric car market, Kalashnikov intends to compete directly with Tesla.
