The Environmental Impact Study (MER) for the extension of the Lisbon metro between Rato and Cais do Sodré was the target of 164 participations in the "Participates" portal, in the framework of the public consultation, until Wednesday morning until 8 pm. The study also concluded that the option for a circular line in the first year of operation will be able to win 8,932,833 new passengers in the Metro network compared to the current network. In the green line with the new round format, the travel times between existing stations will "slightly decrease, because the train will run at a top speed of 60 kilometers / hour, instead of the current speed of 45 kilometers per hour he adds.

The government announced in May last year that the Metropolitano de Lisboa will have two other stations until 2022 – Estrela and Santos – with stations in the Amoreiras and Campo de Ourique also planned, although in these two cases without an expected completion date.

In addition to the circular line, it was also announced that the yellow line would be reduced and that there would be a route between Odivelas and Telheiras (via Campo Grande).
