The accounts are doing well with the Minister of Finance. If this continues, the year can end with a record deficit of close to 0% of GDP. This is excellent news for Portugal, which lives with one of the highest public debts in Europe and the world. And it is a victory for Mario Centeno, who again defeated the goal he put in April in the stability program and that was already a downward revision of the original. But it is a double-edged sword.
