EasyJet customers can already book flights via an image, with only one photo, without knowing the destination.
With this new service, the low cost airline confirms itself as a "pioneer" in this area, where it claims to have launched only one of the largest innovators in its application.
"The & # 39; Look & Book & # 39; uses advanced image recognition techniques to identify the location by combining the photo with the more than a thousand easyJet destinations in Europe. The new function of the application not only recognizes the destination, but also suggests the nearest airport and prefills the booking form with these details in advance, "said an easyJet statement.
According to Daniel Young, easyJet's digital experience manager, "The Look & Book will enable people to explore Europe more easily and open new destinations and previously hidden holiday destinations for a variety of customers."
"It is fantastic how technology enables us to improve and streamline customer research and booking experiences," says the same person.
The same statement says that "innovative image recognition technology has never been applied in this way, making easyJet the first airline to use it to provide travelers with an extra way of booking – an Instagram-inspired journey in just a few touches".
"For the travel industry, the latest technology gives Instagram navigators the opportunity to easily create inspirational photos of amazing and inspiring photos that they can view and share with the easyJet application," the statement added.
