Xiaomi launches the first smartwatch under the Redmi brand. It’s Redmi Watch

The Redmi brand belongs to the Xiaomi ecosystem and is a trusted name for many technology consumers today. We know that the names associated with Xiaomi share many models with it, quite similar, but so far we have not seen a smartwatch associated with Redmi.

However, the Redmi Watch, the brand’s first smartwatch, with an autonomy of 12 days and integrated GPS arrived.

Yesterday was marked by the launch of the new smartphones in the Redmi Note 9. In particular, the line now has the Redmi Note 9 Pro, Note 9 5G and Note 9 4G. But these were more than expected models arriving to confirm many of the rumors that have spread recently on the internet.

For example, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a price from 200 € and already has a camera from 108 MP, screen with refresh rate of 120Hz, NFC and has a battery from 4820 mAh. In addition, the processor is a Snapdragon 750G.

But the big news is the new smart watch. The Redmi Watch emerges as the brand's first smartwatch and could enter the international market under the Xiaomi brand ... which wouldn't be surprising by the way.

The Redmi Watch is a watch with an iconic design for this segment. Rectangular screen and rubber bracelet, in four different colors and metal frame.

The color screen is 1.4 inches, with automatic brightness adjustment and is water resistant (5ATM), making it an ideal product for aquatic activities.

It comes with integrated GPS, so you can practice controlled outdoor sports without the need for a smartphone nearby. Plus, it still has NFC.

Sports activity tracking is of course included, as is sleep and sedentary lifestyle tracking, alerting the user.

In terms of autonomy, the brand speaks of 7 to 12 days of use. This is, of course, a value that will also strongly depend on the physical activity of users.

For now, the watch is only available in China for 299 yuan, about 38 €. It is expected to reach more markets soon.
